Rock Sound Harbour - Weather Day

The wind increased through the night and we decided to hole up for a day waiting for calmer conditions before venturing out into the Exuma Sound.  It appeared as though all of the boats anchored with us felt the same as we saw no one leave the anchorage.  The forecast for tomorrow is much better.  Winds less than 15 knots and waves less than 2 feet.

Carla did a fine job of cleaning the bilge.  It was her turn.  We spent most of the day reading.  She finished Moll Flanders and Dwayne continued to plow ahead in The Reluctant Admiral which is a biography of the commander of the Japanese fleet which bombed Pearl Harbor.

Frank and Carol came over for dinner – fried mackerel, potatoes and polenta.  We decided to cut our time in Eleuthera short due to weather.  We’ll move to Davis Harbour Marina tomorrow and then cross over to Highbourne Cay in the Exumas the following day.  Another front is heading in and we don’t want to be locked into Davis Harbour Marina for several days.  We think we will be better off in the Exumas.  We might cross back over to Eleuthera on our way home if time permits.
