Spanish Wells Day 3
Carla made
us a wonderful breakfast of blueberry pancakes and glazed ham caramelized with
butter, apple juice and maple syrup. After breakfast, we went to the
local museum and had a very informative presentation by the
volunteer docent. She is a Canadian who
has been wintering here for over 15 years.

Carol and Carla went to Budda’s Snack Shack for lunch. Carla had the mac and cheese with conch fritters. Carol had chicken strips and French fries. Dwayne and Frank skipped lunch. They went off to try to get diesel for the jerry cans as our opportunities to get fuel will be few as we move south from Spanish Wells. The fueling station was closed as it was a Saturday.
Dwayne
watched the University of Kansas Jayhawk basketball team lose to the Oregon
Fighting Ducks. The Jayhawk team played
a terrible game from start to finish.
The Ducks played well and deserved to win. Basketball is now over with losses by both
Wisconsin and Kansas.
Ha, yes we here in Kansas are moving on to baseball. Go Royals!
