Big Major Spot to Black Point Settlement, Great Guana Cay

We decided to move to Great Guana Cay despite the wind being in the high teens with three foot waves.  We are getting used to traveling in these conditions although we don’t like doing so for long periods of time.  The passage to Great Guana Cay was a 3 hour trip with the wind and waves on our nose.  The mega-yacht, Vava, dropped anchor not far from us the night before.  On Shroud Cay, we shared some time on a beach with some of her crew members.  We passed close by Vava on our way out of the anchorage but no one was on deck.

Vava - Anchored at Big Major Spot

It was windy with a chop in the anchorage when we arrived.  We didn’t have as much protection as at Big Major Spot and the wind was blowing a good 5 mph stronger.  Also, it was Sunday and nothing was open in Black Point Settlement.  So, we decided not to go ashore.  Instead, we added posts to our blog and made some phone calls. Carla got out her cleaning supplies and waxed the cockpit.  Dwayne started planning our return trip to Florida and the Chesapeake Bay.  He also napped.  Carla made pizza for dinner from Naan which is like a Boboli bread.  We watched a movie, Gold, starring Roger Moore and Suzanna York which was set in South Africa.  It was on a four movie CD which we bought somewhere for $2.  Enough said.  It passed the time.
