Baptism Ellicott City

Went to Emory Methodist Church in Ellicott City for a grandniece's baptism.  This is one of the oldest churches in this formerly grand mill city and terminal station for the first steam locomotive line in the US.  The downtown district is filled with quaint anti-bellum homes and shops.

This is and example of one of the many beautiful homes in Ellicott City.  Quite a few homes are built from granite which came from nearby quarries.  Brick and wood framed anti-bellum houses are plentiful in the downtown area.  Of course, the streets are narrow and parking is a challenge.
