Thanksgiving in St. Marys

Most of the SAIL Rally members headed to St. Marys for the 15th Annual Cruisers Thanksgiving Dinner at the century old Riverview Hotel and Seagle's Saloon.  Somewhere between 150 and 200 cruisers showed up and brought food to give thanks for the wonderful lives we enjoy afloat.  The turkeys and hams are prepared by the people of St. Marys and the rest is pot luck sides and desserts from the cruisers. Needless to say, it was a wonderful meal and plenty of food for all.

Entertainment began after dinner.  Singing and jamming by the talented in the cruising community.

The brigantine, Peacemaker, was the largest sailing vessel in St. Marys for the holiday. We were fortunate enough to be invited aboard to explore this unique ship by her captain and his wife.  The ship was built in Brazil in the late 1980s.  Pictures are worth a thousand words.  The sailboat in the picture next to Peacemaker is about the size of Foreign Affair.
