Wheels Again

Schooner in Davis Creek

Brian and Janet brought our car to us and we spent the day exploring Rock Hall.  The Waterman’s Museum was closed and we were able to complete our driving tour of the town in a half hour.  We did learn that George Washington passed through Rock Hall at least 8 times.  It is uncertain as to whether or not he slept there; however, it is well documented that he passed through Rock Hall at least 8 times.

We enjoyed a light lunch at the Bay Wolf Restaurant which serves Austrian cuisine as well as dishes associated with the Bay.  Strauss waltzes played continuously and “The Blue Danube” must be a favorite because we heard it several times during our brief stay.

We concluded our day in Rock Hall with beer on the deck at the Waterman’s Bar and Restaurant.

We took a dinghy ride up Davis Creek as the sun was setting.

Friends from a neighboring boat joined us upon our return and we spent the rest of the evening drinking wine and snacking on cheese, crackers et.al.

We went below after our neighbors left and closed out the night with a game of sheepshead.
