Winyah Bay to Georgetown
Friday, May 19, 2017
We did a few
chores after breakfast. Dwayne cleaned
the bilge which is a task neither of us enjoys doing. It was his turn this time. We then moved from our anchorage to
Georgetown which took us about two hours.
We stopped at Hazard Marine to get fuel, water, pump-out, oil and
filters. Susan was still working the office
and docks. Nothing has really
changed. The marina was full for the
weekend.

We anchored in the Sampit River
and reserved a slip at Harborwalk Marina for Saturday.
We ate lunch
after setting the anchor and then took naps before continuing on with
maintenance. After our naps, we changed
the engine and transfer oil and filters, as well as, the fuel filters. We cleaned the raw water strainer which is
part of our engine cooling system. Carla
cleaned up the engine compartment and the space under our mattress which is
where our Racor fuel filter and raw water strainer are located. We are set for another hundred hours of
engine operation with these tasks accomplished.
Dinner and
showers finished out the day.
