Rock Hall to Annapolis
Friday, June 09, 2017
We departed
Rock Hall at 1030 bound for Annapolis.
Terry wanted to catch some fish.
So, we trolled as we crossed the Bay. We stopped at a couple of
locations where others were fishing hoping to get some action. Our fishing skills we inadequate to even get
one bite. We arrived at Annapolis
shortly before 5 and were able to get a mooring ball. Amazingly, Sea Shadow, a Catalina 387 was on the mooring next to us. She is owned by Allan who befriended us when
we first arrived at Herrington Harbour South back in August, 2014. Dwayne hailed Allan who was much surprised to
see Dwayne and Foreign Affair since
the last time we were together was in July, 2016. We invited Allan and his wife over; however, they were
meeting their son and had other commitments in Annapolis. We will try to get together sometime in the
future.
Chick and Ruth's Deli |
We took the
water taxi in to tour Annapolis. It was
much more convenient than launching the dinghy.
We took a walking tour of the area around Ego Alley and strolled through
the Naval Academy grounds before heading to Chick and Ruth’s Deli for
dinner. We ordered the ½ pound lump
crab, fries, and onion rings. Of course,
Dwayne ordered a malt. Terry drank ice
tea. We had half of our crab to take back
to the boat for another meal. After
dinner, Terry did some souvenir shopping.
We caught the last water taxi run back to the boat. According to Terry, we didn’t stop solving
the world’s problems until around 3 am. Early
to bed, Early to rise.
