Waterman's Crab Shack in Rock Hall, MD

Winds significantly increased last night which caused us to lay out another 50 feet of anchor chain to avoid dragging anchor.  That extra chain really helped settle the boat and allowed us to sleep better.

We took the dinghy over to the Lankford Bay Marina to sign in and check out our slip arrangement prior to moving the boat into the harbor.



This marina has been in business for 65 years.  It is small but offers many amenities such as a swimming pool, laundry, ship's store, convenience store and wifi.  It has frequently won "Best of the Bay" awards.  We might stay here a while to explore the Chester River after our docking class is finished.  The people here are very friendly and helpful.  We got a ride into Rock Hall from one of the local sailors to provision.   We invited him to join us for dinner provided he knew of  a great local restaurant.  The Waterman's Crab Shack perfectly match our mood and pocketbook.
